Explosive Strength and Speed is excited to offer Year 2 of Basketball Training Camps!! This awesome opportunity is offered to boys and girls ages 10-14 who have a desire to excel in their sport and develop athleticism and game readiness. Due to the intense nature of these camps, there is a 4 day schedule. Athletes will receive individualized attention and training plans in our exclusive indoor and outdoor training space. Basketball skills and drills will occur; but unlike other basketball camps, our focus is on developing the athlete with well-rounded strength, conditioning, and explosiveness. Register here!

Explosiveness is the most common term used when describing a high level athlete. There are different levels of explosiveness, and it is these that separate one athlete from another. When a college coach or professional scout is observing an athlete, “explosiveness” is what they are looking for. A general way to describe explosiveness is the ability to reach maximum power and strength in the shortest amount of time. Examples of this are seen when an athlete accelerates, changes direction, jumps, or has to perform any action with great force. Genetics play a small role in this, but any athlete can become more explosive with proper training, and few ever reach their full potential, mainly due to the fact that they do not know how. The only way to become explosive is to train explosive. Knowing how and what training techniques to implement is the key to becoming an explosive athlete.
